Open letter from Mark Thorne Yate Town FC Commercial manager
I am writing to introduce myself as Yate Town Football Club’s new commercial manager
and urge you to consider an extensive range of opportunities to get behind the drive to
continue our exciting journey up the semi-professional scale.
Football in these parts, as you’ll no doubt be aware, remains as popular as ever, despite
the coronavirus outbreak which I appreciate has eaten into everyone’s lives.
If you’re not already aware, Yate Town FC plays at Step 3 level of the national non-
League game in the Southern League Premier Division, which provides regular and
enticing local derby matches with many of our big West Country rivals.
One more promotion would see us into the second tier of the highest-ranked non-
League competition in the entire country, the Vanarama National League, and put us
then only two promotions away from a dream place in the Football League.
Yate Town FC’s progress, which included reaching the FA Cup first round proper for the
first time in our history only a few short years ago, has generated much excitement and
anticipation around our Lodge Road home.
Just like any ambitious club in our position we need support to keep that momentum
going which is why I, on behalf of our great family-friendly club, am inviting you to be
part of our winning team and be part of the story.
We can, as I said at the start, offer an extensive range of sponsorship packages to suit
all businesses and individuals and opportunities for advertising exposure through our
lively social media platform.
I, and we, would be delighted to hear from you as we embark on the new season, under
highly-respected new management, with a view to maintaining our upward spiral.
