Swansea City narrowly took the honours in the Orchard Welsh
Premier Women's League top of the table clash, a late goal giving
them a 1-0 victory over Cardiff Met Women.
Chloe Chivers scored the only goal of the game with seven
minutes remaining, only the second time the Archers have conceded
this season. Met still hold onto the leadership of the table but on goal
difference from Swansea, who have a game in hand, whilst
Abergavenny Women are three points off the pace and still have a
100% record.
Cyncoed Ladies remain in fourth
place following their 1-1 draw against Port
Talbot Town. Jesci Hare put Port Talbot in
front after nineteen minutes, a lead they
held until fifteen minutes from time when
Alison Witts scored to earn Cyncoed a share
of the spoils.
Cardiff City Women returned to
winning ways with a 2-0 success against
Aberystwyth Town. The Bluebirds took
the lead midway through the first half
through Siobhan Walsh and they made the
points safe when Phoebie Poole scored the
second goal late on.
Briton Ferry Llansawel are off
the mark at the fourth time of asking,
beating Cascade Youth Club 3-2. An Cyncoed Ladies striker Alison Witts rounds Port Talbot Town
