A warm welcome to all attending the
match this afternoon at The Field.

We would like to offer a special
welcome to the players, management
and supporters of Sharpness FC for
this MARCLIFF Gloucestershire
County League fixture. We hope they
enjoy their short stay and have a safe
trip home.

Our opening two games have been a story of two massive contrasts.
Our opening game against Cheltenham Civil Service saw us playing
under the lights, in front of a 100+ crowd in great voice, and we
managed to grab a hard fought game 1-0, a calm finish by Ashley
Knight for the winning goal. Our second game, away against Rockleaze,
started well. A well worked free kick smashed home by Tom Clements
saw us go 1-0 up only for us to collapse to a 7-1 defeat. So we look to
put ourselves back on track this afternoon against what I am sure will
be a very competitive Sharpness team. Being new to the league we are
learning every game, but we need to learn quickly to set up our early
season.

Hopefully we get another great turn out today and the Almonds are
able to put on an entertaining performance for you all.
