From the dugout
A few words from the manager...
BROMLEY HEATH UTD 2 - 0 FILTON ATHLETIC (8th February 2025)
“Well a frustrating day at the office, it’s always going to be tough away at
Bromley especially with just one player on the bench. The decision to allow
our reserve team to play in the same cup competition and cup-tie their squad
still puzzles me.
The game went pretty much as expected, very even between the two sides
and a goal for us disallowed for a very dubious offside decision. We missed
few good chances in the first half that we needed to take!
The second half continued much the same until a calamity of errors in our
defence led to Bromley going one up. The second goal, which was taken
excellently by the Bromley striker, was the killer for us. With just one sub on
the bench we couldn’t change much to impact the game.
Hopefully the lads have been dragged down to earth with the end of their
unbeaten spell, lets see how they react against title contenders Frampton
United this Saturday. They are a well established GCL team who are pushing
for the title.
13 more points and we will definitely be staying in the league for another year,
which is what we set out to achieve.”
