Hi,

I’m Martin Coles and I’m currently Vice Chairman of this
great Grassroots Football Club. That said, myself, Steve
Nicholls and Phil Gane are the Club Trustees, having been
here for over a combined 100 years in various voluntary
       roles.
This afternoon we would like to welcome the committee,
players and management of our Hellenic League Premier
Division visitors Longlevens for today’s FA Vase First
Qualifying Round tie. We also extend a warm welcome to
our match officials today, referee James Curran and his 2
assistants, Jordan Hartry and Gary Stonham.

We have all seen different formats at the club and many players and managers have passed
through the club over my 33 years. We have all been there when we have had highs and
lows and the Club is still here and will be so for many years to come.

It’s been a privilege to work with many people over the years and the Trustees would like to
thanks our present stalwarts, Jules and Terrie French, for leading us over the last 13 years
       through thick and thin.

Our present project with regards our First Team using Total Pro Soccer as provider of very
talented young players is a new concept for us all and despite it being a steep learning curve
for everyone involved, I hope that we can help players develop and also provide fabulous
football for our loyal spectators. Our Reserve Team also deserve credit for providing a great
standard of football at County level.

A lot of supporters having been asking about our President Malcolm Trainer after his
recent bout of illness. As you can see from the picture below, he is up and about and enjoyed
a beer with me over the weekend.
He continues to make good progress
and hopefully will be allowed to drive
                                                  again soon.

We all look forward to his
                                                  encouraging shouts from the stands.
We are back in Western League
