Welcome to the Lancer Scott Stadum
Good afternoon, I would like to offer a
warm welcome to you all, particularly to
the officials, players and supporters of
Brislington FC for their visit to Backwell.
We hope you enjoy your time with us.
This is our 3rd meeting this season,
honours even, so this is the decider! We
took the prize money in September with
2-1 victory in the FA vase with goals from
Conor Hartley and Pricey. Briz gained 3
points at Christmas with a convincing 4-0
victory.
With 9 days of the season left we still
have quite a bit of travelling to do and we
will be running coaches to the following games

Our interest in The Les Phillips League Cup finished last week with a visit to
Cadbury Heath. Losing 2-0 it was a very disappointing display particularly on the
back of a good performance here on the previous Saturday V Buckland.
We made up for last Saturday with a 4-1 victory away at Millbrook, with a great
away support, which was followed up with an “interesting” night out in Plymouth
for 17 of us. See the match reports later in the programme.
The Reserves are now unbeaten this year, 10 games without defeat, 3 points off
top place with 4 games in hand. They have 7 games left, 5 here at the Lancer
Scott, the 1 of which is tomorrow V Hutton, 3pm KO. I hope some of you can
st
join us to support Smarty’s lads.
We are having a good response from Sponsors wanting pitch side advertising
boards and will have a lot more in place for next season but could do with more
to help us cover next season’s
running coast, for prices etc If you
