President’s
Thoughts
A welcome today to the players, coaches and supporters of Devizes Town
for our penultimate home game of the season.
At the start of the season we were all unsure as to whether we would
actually get to the end of this one without it being disturbed. Amazingly,
storm Eunice excluding, we’ve had a relatively problem free season. With
only a few games left, but with snow forecast it’s fingers crossed.
Devizes come to us today following two drawn games, and only a narrow
loss to Welton Rovers, which indicates an up-turn in their form. We played
well against Lebeq in our last game and came away with a 2-1 win so
today’s game should be an exciting one as both teams will be going hard
for the win.
Covid-19 still raising it’s ugly head so please use the hand sanitisers, both
at our entrance and in the main bar.
Lets hope for a well contested contest today and whatever the score, let’s
all enjoy the game and remember to accept the Referee’s judgement
whether we agree or not, as with-out officials we could not play the game…
As always, hot and cold food, tea’s and coffee are available in the clubhouse
so come and visit me in the kitchen, and, whatever the result, join me for
a beer after the game.
As we all say #Up the Phones
Steve Watkins (President)
