They were handed a lifeline a er 53 minutes though as the visitors were reduced to ten
men when goalkeeper Liam May upended Stu Bowker way outside the box.
Helston took advantage of this with quickfire goals from Craig Veal, Jordan Bentley and

save to keep Brislington at bay.
Bowker could have been celebra ng in the next passage of play a er he latched onto a
defensive mix up, but the striker could only dink his effort onto the roof of the goal.
A er 20 minutes Veal was a ma er of inches away from connec ng with a Harrison Jewell

Veal went close again a er 32 minutes a er he adjusted well to get on the end of a cross
from Bowker but his stooping header went marginally wide of the target.
The best opportunity to open the scoring came a er 42 minutes when talisman Bowker did
tremendously well to hold off his man on the le side of the area. The forward engineered
a yard of space before flashing a fierce cross/shot across the goalmouth which a sliding
Reece Shanley couldn't connect with.
