Res v Old Colts Cup
After 2 league games against them resulting in 2 draws it was a tense game
but the lads have been performing excellent last 3 games and this showed
this week and a massive shift put in by every single player today we won
the game 5 - 2 , with goals from Rhys 0’ Donovan 2 Ben Walters 1 and Cody
Winkler 2 (1 was top bins soccer AM would show over and over again)
Maddox Payne was superb on the distribution of balls putting through for
the front lads again this week and what was really encouraging was the
passing and holding the ball up well and playing decent football, Our keeper
Tom Heague made a massive save 1 on 1 when we were leading 3 2 and
we scored just straight after that save.
This is the start of a cup run hopefully and another 90 mins of work rate so
Mom Charlie Golder excellent all game.

I would like to mention the return of scouse who put a massive shift in and
showed why he was managers player last season, and thank Mark Warren
with his decision making on that flag and Gary Clarke who both support me
       and the players.

       Youth Team
The youth sit top of the table in division one of Sundays combination
       league.

Another win for the team last Sunday when they ran out 3-1 winners
against a good Portishead side. Portishead took the lead after 20 minutes
with a well worked move. Josh Scanlon scored a powerful shot from inside
the area to level things up at the half.
The second half Avonmouth came more and more into the game with
James Ellis dictating play. Regan Trump finished from close range on 80
minutes after Lewis Coverdale set him up from a great run down the wing.
Maddox Payne wrapped the game up on 88 minutes with great finish
arriving in the box late from a corner.
