Gavin Macpherson Manager
Appointed as manager at the start of 2018/2019 season following the resignation of Jim Cooper.
Gavin has been with the club as a player, assistant and manager for over 12 years. Regarded by
his peers and many players as a fantastic, innovative coach. Previously as a player, was a
professional at Barnet and Carlisle, played on loan at Wealdstone, Slough Town and Woking.
Jon Nurse Assistant Manager
An Ex professional and International footballer who has now turned his hand to coaching. Having
won the FA Trophy, the National League and League 2 playoffs as a player he has now won
National League and Southern League playoffs as a coach. Has been with the Met 4 years and is
an integral part of the Management Team.
Scott Tarr Coach
Ex England C international goalkeeper. Became the club’s goalkeeping coach midway through the
2014-15 season. He was an excellent shot stopper himself and was regarded at the time as one
of the best in non-league circles. He played the majority of his football career with Basingstoke
Town but also with Yeading and Farnborough Town. Scott managed Hartley Wintney when they
gained promotion to the CCL Premier.
Shannon O’Mahony Physio
Graduated from St Mary’s University with First Class Honours in BSc Sport Rehabilitation. Formerly
of Hayes & Yeading United before joining The Met in July 2019.
Liam Beach Goalkeeper
Signed in the pre-season from Farnborough. A commanding presence in the box, the 23 year old
‘keeper is no stranger to the area having previously played for local rivals Hampton & Richmond
Borough as well as Walton & Hersham.
Ashley West Goalkeeper
Experienced ‘keeper currently in his second spell with The Blues. Has turned out for Walton Casuals,
Farnborough & Thatcham Town in the past as representing Surrey International.
Oliver Robinson (Club Captain) Centre Back
Ollie is in his fifth season in a Blue shirt. Made club captain in July 2019, a commanding centre half
who has previously played for Walton Casuals and Molesey.
Bernie Tanner Defender
The versatile 21 year old signed for the club during pre-season and is already forming an
impressive partnership at the back with Ollie Robinson. Has previously played for Farnborough,
Walton Casuals & Hanworth Villa.

Alex Fisher Left Back
Joined the Met from Ashford Town in June 2018. The former QPR youngster was a major part of
the successful 2018/2019 campaign helping win the play offs and the Surrey Senior Cup and
continues to improve season upon season.

Charlie Wickham Defender
A highly rated young centre-back signed from Boreham Wood having come through their youth
system. Has represented England Colleges.

Luke Robertson Central Midfield
Came through the youth team ranks at the Met and was part of the famous FA youth cup team
that eventually lost at Wolves. After a brief move to Farnborough, Robbo returned to Imber Court
