Good afternoon and welcome to the South West Interiors stadium for a long awaited
return to football. After the exhilaration of beating the league leaders on their own
patch it has been a frustration that the opportunity to build on that performance has
been halted due to the recent weather. It is a strange feeling that it was two weeks ago
since we last played a game, but for those who travelled to Farnborough it was well
worth the journey. Farnborough are without doubt a very skilful squad of players who
play an attractive brand of football, at a very fast pace, well deserving of their position
in the top four of the division. Conceding a goal within 15 minutes was not where we
wanted to be, however the Bluebells grit and winning desire did not fade that day and
it was possibly one of our best performances of the season. The comeback was led by
Max Williams with an equaliser on 26 minutes, followed by Matt Bower scoring what
turned out to be the winning goal just before the break. A second half of resolute
defence, solid game management and measured attack saw the Bluebells home and a
well deserved away win. The return fixture is scheduled for the 12th March and is not
       to be missed!

Today we host Metropolitan Police and we wish to extend a very warm welcome to
Gavin Macpherson and his squad, the travelling supporters, and visiting club officials,
we hope you enjoy your visit to the West Country. The Blues come into this match on
the back of two wins, most recently a 1-0 victory hosting our local rivals Tiverton Town,
they currently sit firmly in the play off group with 20 wins, 13 away from home. The
away fixture saw the Bluebells come away from the Capital empty handed. A a single
goal from Jonathan Hippolyte deciding the fixture on 20 minutes in a game played in a
bitterly cold wind that challenged either team to create many goal scoring opportunities.
The Blues have a strong squad with a potent strike force to trouble any defence. Liam
Ferdinand on 15 goals the obvious threat, Jack Mazzone is on 9 goals but with 5 assists
is clearly more than just a goal scorer. Jonathan Hippolyte is also on 9 goals, with one
of those being against us of course. Away from the strikers the creative threat in
midfield is Ollie Knight who has 14 assists to his name.
The recent weather and storms have caused a couple of postponements hence our two
week break. Truro City currently pitch share with Plymouth Parkway so the pitch is
heavily used, the pictures on Twitter covering the match between Parkway and
Melksham two weeks ago illustrated a mud bath, and credit to both teams for
completing the game. It was evident however that with more rain the pitch would never
recover in time for our visit the following Tuesday. With Walton Casuals playing on a 3G
surface our game last Saturday looked more secure, however who foresaw storm
Eunice! These fixtures have now been re-arranged (Truro Wed 23rd March and Walton
Casuals Tue 29th March) and the updated fixtures list is included later in the
programme. As we head towards the ‘business’ end of the season we need your support
to see the boys home. For away fixtures there is usually space on the coach, dates and
departure times are listed later in the programme so please join us on our travels.

Thank you for your support today.
       C’mon the Bluebells.
