who stay on 21 points. They have played a game more than both their closest challengers who
are now just three points behind. Penistone Church are in second spot, Jessica Barrow,
Keeley Green and Jess Ross on target in a 3-0 away win over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.
Swallownest are a place behind Penistone on goal difference. Lacie Dodsworth and Hayley
Hirst were their scorers in a 2-1 win at Mosborough whose reply came from Laura Kerr. In
the encounter between the bottom two it was Dronfield Town Res who recorded their best
score of the season, 6-2 against Sheffield City, to climb a place to seventh and leave their
opponents still seeking their first point. Mollie Wordsworth bagged a hat-trick with Alice
Dixon, Megan Hammond and Summer Ingham also on target.
It is surely a case of when rather than if Staveley Miners Welfare lift the Division
Three title. They made it ten wins from ten with a 13-2 victory at Eckington Belles. Not
surprisingly it was the highest score in the division this season (and also first one in double
figures). Carly Rowlands was top individual scorer with seven whilst Christy Long netted four
times with Ashleigh Butterworth and Rachel Skeemer also on target. AFC Norton
Woodseats are second with 25 points from ten games and remain unbeaten at home
following a 6-0 victory over Mind Over Matter thanks to goals from Katie Todd (2),
Courtney Clarke, Ellie McHugh, Kat Patillo and Poppy Webb. Emma Fleetwood netted both
for Dearne & District in their 2-1 success over Wickersley Youth, Eve Allen their scorer.
There was a baker’s dozen goals at Kiveton Park Res who lost 9-4 to West End Terriers.
Amy Simpson was top scorer for the visitors, her five goals added to by a hat-trick from
Melissa Bell and a single by Keira Taylor. Hannah Barden, on her Kiveton debut, bagged a
hat-trick with Tiffany Clarke also on target for the hosts.
Somerset League
Leaders Pen Mill were beaten for a second week running as their sticky patch continued, this
time going down 4-3 to Paulton Rovers Res. Alisha Stuart netted twice for Paulton along
with Darcy Baber and Alice Ford, with Letisha Templer (2) and Rebecca Roberts replying.
Bath City Women narrowed the gap to five points when Tanea Wright, Jade Whale and
Bronwen Cranfield gave them a 3-1 victory over Bishop's Lydeard Res, whose consolation
came from Mia Cridge. Kayla Winter (2) and Ana Flavia Santos accounted for the goals as
third placed Ilminster Town Res defeated Portishead Town Res 3-0. Nicki Robinson
netted for Banwell in their 1-1 draw with Wellington, who replied through Julie Netherway,
whilst Woodspring Women and Wells City finished level at 2-2.
Burnham Utd now head Division Two North by eight points following their 2-1 victory
over Hutton, substitute Vanessa Brill scoring both goals. Berrow have replaced Highridge
Utd in second after beating them 2-0 with strikes from Emily Moreton and Chloe Williams.
Georgia Perkins netted for Porlock as they drew 1-1 with Cheddar, whose markswoman was
Sherise Binns, whilst Jasmine Ford scored four times and Shannon Burke the other for
Paulton Rovers Development in their 5-3 success away to Woodspring Women Res.
Wellington Wildcats still stretch the
