Introducing Tuffley Rovers F.C.

       Jack Copland Goalkeeper
A hugely talented young goalkeeper who was a mainstay of the club’s U18
campaign in the 2020/21 FA Youth Cup . Terrific handling and shot stopping ability
is equally matched by his excellent distribution, from the hand or with the ball at
his feet. 2021/22 is his breakthrough season and so far it is going well, as he is now
undoubtedly first choice between the sticks!
       Macaulay Herbert Defence
Now the second longest-serving member of the first team, and club captain,
‘Macca’ was the first player to come through from the new youth set- up and hold
down a place in the first team squad. Solid and dependable; an excellent defender
who is getting better with every season that passes. Has now made over 200 first
team appearances and is still only 26 years of age.
       Xander Jones Defence
Finally joined the first team squad after rebuffing our overtures for two seasons.
Was on the cusp of a pro-deal at Cheltenham Town but played local football before
finally returning to us. Usually deployed in a defensive role but can play higher up
the pitch. Good on the ball and defensively sound.
       Archie Woodall Defence
An old-fashioned defender, with a more modern
technique on the ball, Archie was signed from Cheltenham Town, on a Work
Experience arrangement, earlier in the season and is already winning after a string
of positive performances in various defensive roles.
       Jacob Geddes Defence
A rising star for Rovers, after joining the club in 2020. Immediately held down a
regular place in the first team, aged just 16 years of age, showing a maturity
beyond his years. Joined after leaving Cheltenham Town and is a tough,
uncomprising defender, but also good in possession. A natural leader; now captain
       in Macaulay Herbert’s absence.
       Joel White Defence
Recently rejoined the club from Frampton United, having spent a season with
Slimbridge, in the Southern League. A commanding presence an hugely influential
in our young squad. Calm on the ball, fantastic in defence; the leader we needed
to add to the side after a difficult start to the campaign.
