Beech’s Bench Talk
Welcome to the Lancer Scott Stadum

Good afternoon and welcome to the Lancer Scott
Stadium for the visit of Street FC who made the
short from mid-somerset . I would like to extend a
particularly warm welcome to today’s match
officials, Luke Iles, Andie Lambourne, Mike
Richards and to all the officials, supporters and
players from Street. We hope you enjoy your time
with us and have a safe journey home.
LANCER SCOTT LTD have been generously
sponsoring our club for 10 years, from sponsoring
the 1st community friendly Vs Bristol City, ground
naming to polo tops and tracksuits, I’ve just had
confirmation that they will be sponsoring of the
end of season presentation dinner on Saturday
May 6th at The Heineken Lounge, Ashton Gate,
(Bristol City ground if you don’t know!) Please
speak to Pressy or Coomber if you are interested,
I believe there are some tickets available, £55 each.
The crazy weather we have had since Christmas and the subsequent
postponements, games have come thick and fast, this is our 3rd game in 5
days. The lads have to travel to Barnstaple Tuesday night before we finish the
season here for our last ever Toolstation Western league game (for the
        foreseeable future) v Torpoint.
Much like ourselves, Street have made a huge improvement on last season’s
performances, where they finished 4th from bottom, 2 places and 4 points
above us. This season they are 1 place beneath us, level on points having
played 1 game more than us. The Cobblers are in very good form, since a 2-1
defeat @ Barnstaple on 18th Febuary, they are unbeaten in 10 games, 6 draws
and 4 victories. They beat us at the Tannery ground in August 1-0 and last
season they took 4 points from us, all games very close and shall we say ”
Competitive”! It could be lively today.
I do have to say thank you to Street for bringing forward the kick-off of the
Reserve game on may 6th to 1pm as it’s the day of our presentation.
Next game is the reserves, Wednesday 6.30 ko vs Yatton and Cleeve utd
Thank you for your support today, enjoy the game and please as always respect
        the officials.
        UP THE STAGS,
        Mike, Chairman
