League Review

Truro City returned to the top of the Pitching In Southern League
Premier Division South table on Saturday after they beat Yate Town and
long-time leaders Weston-super-Mare were held to a goalless draw at
       Swindon Supermarine.
At Bolitho Park, Rocky Neal gave Truro a 28th-minute lead which Tyler
Harvey doubled right on half-time with a powerful header. Kyle Egan added
the White Tigers` third in the 64th minute and a comfortable win was
completed 11 minutes from time when Dan Sullivan made it 4-0.
Truro are now a point ahead of Weston at the top of the table after the
Seagulls were left frustrated at the Webbswood Stadium by a stubborn
defensive effort from Supermarine, who are tenth.

Chesham United are just a point behind the Seagulls, albeit having played
two games more, after they won 2-0 at The Meadow against fourth-from-
bottom Hendon. A crowd of 477 saw Jeanmal Prosper give the Generals the
lead on the half-hour mark. And the second goal arrived 4 minutes into the
second half when Liam Ferdinand was put through to finish well.

Bracknell Town are now fourth after they won 3-2 at Hanwell Town and
Metropolitan Police, who started the day in that position, were held to a 1-1
draw by lowly Hartley Wintney. Florent Bojaj gave the Geordies the lead at
The Powerday Stadium a couple of minutes before half-time. Gary Abisogun
eventually equalised just past the hour-mark and then a penalty converted
by Darryl Sanders 9 minutes later, gave the Robins the lead. On 76 minutes,
Kamaron English pulled the visitors 3-1 up, although Hanwell did manage
to reduce the arrears to one through Lewis Cole 4 minutes later.
Second-from-bottom Hartley Wintney ended a five-game losing run by
picking up a point at The Memorial Playing Fields against Met Police.
The Row trailed from the 18th minute when Herson Rodrigues-Alves
       opened the Met’s account.
But they failed to add to their tally and were punished 8 minutes from time
       by Harry Cooksley.
Poole Town are sixth, just a point behind the Met, after they too shared a
1-1 draw at the BlackGold Stadium against Gosport Borough. A penalty
from Boro’s Brad Tarbuck opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Harry
Hutchinson equalised for the hosts in the 23rd minute.
It wasn’t a great afternoon for the teams chasing a top-five spot as, apart
from Poole dropping points, seventh-placed Dorchester Town were beaten
