A Recap of two weeks’ ac on
Saturday 24th Sept FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Round
Brislington 2 Corsham Town 2
( Corsham won 6-5 pens)
Asa White 47mins Pen Danny Dodimead 52min
Despite our visitors being at step 5 they probably counted their self lucky to be in the
next round.
We put a good performance from start to finish and probably should have come away with
a victory.
The away side were 1-0 up at half me and probably against the run of play.
Within 7 mins of the restart we found ourselves 2-1 up. Captain Asa White con nued his
September goal scoring spree with a penalty a er he was fla ened in the box & Danny
Dodimead finished what was probably the best move of the game.
The away side equalised a few minutes later but neither side could fine the elusive winner
& the game went to Penal es. unfortunately Scads & Dodz missed theirs to give the away
side the victory.

For the only the 2nd me this season we failed to score in a game and s ll we don’t know
how we didn’t score. The home side were down to 10 men a er 20mins but then their
keeper decided to have a worldie. He saved everything.
If we were s ll out there now we could not have a scored a goal.
The only posi ve was we went through September unbeaten in the League

We started October as we did September scoring 3 goals.
Saturday 1st October
Almondsbury 1 Brislington 3
Griffiths White Jones
It was not a great game to watch a difficult pitch on a windy day. But the 3 points are more
important some mes.
1st half headed goals from Griffiths & White gave us a 2-0 lead at half me.
A 3rd from Jones put the game safe against a team who seemed happy to put 11 men
behind the ball.
The home side scored a consola on late in the game.
The only sour note was losing White in injury me to a red card.
