Good afternoon and a warm welcome to the players,
coaching team and supporters of Bradford Town for
this Toolstation Western League Division One game.
Our committee would also like to welcome today’s
match officials back to Crown Fields, referee Mike Pope
and his 2 assistants, Mark Vipond & Rowan McGirr.

Unfortunately we now find ourselves back deep in
relegation trouble after 2 away defeats at Bitton and
Hengrove Athletic. The Bitton game saw a first Ks goal
for Jack Weaver, but a late winner for the home side
gave them a 2-1 victory. However the 4-0 defeat at
Hengrove last Saturday was one of the lads’ worst
performances of the season, so I am sure that Ashley
and Marvin will have them fired up to respond in front
of our loyal supporters this afternoon in our first Saturday home game for 6 weeks.
We only have 9 games remaining to try and get the 10 or 11 points probably
required to guarantee safety, so please get behind the lads today.

I would also like to make a special mention for James Tooze and our Reserve team.
Tuesday night saw them play their ninth game in 6 weeks against League leaders
Mendip Broadwalk, and we were very unlucky to lose 2-1 to a late goal after some
bizarre refereeing decisions. Toozey has almost single-handedly guided the lads to
a comfortable mid-table position and both he and the players deserve a huge
       amount of credit.
Off the field, it is with more than a tinge of sadness that I have to announce that
both myself and my wife Terrie will be stepping back from our roles as Keynsham
Town Club Secretary and Treasurer at the end of the season. Keeping up with all
the football club jobs over the last few months has been a strain with Terrie's health
issues, from which she has thankfully now made a full recovery. I can assure you
that this decision has not been reached lightly, but after more than 12 years
building our community club up to what it is today, the time feels right to let
someone else take over the reins.
Easter beckons, with the Ks on the road on Good Friday for our local derby at
Brislington (3:00pm kick-off) before another local derby here at Crown Fields on
Easter Monday with the visit of Bristol Telephones (3:00 pm kick-off).

Don’t forget to keep up with all the Ks news via our social media channels!
As always, thank you for your support - up the Ks!!
       Jules French (Club Secretary)
