Good evening and welcome everybody to today’s game and hope
you have all have a Happy New Year.
We are coming into tonight’s Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup-tie
after holding the league leaders Malvern Town to an exciting 4-4
draw last Saturday.
Our form has been good and having reached the last 16 of the
GFA Trophy and entered the top seven in the league, with games
in hand in which to improve that position, we can be pleased with
the progress we have been making as was evident at the weekend.
Today’s opponents Cribbs are the other half of the top duo in the
League and will provide a similar challenge to our boys. One
Boxing Day Cribbs visited us here at Oaklands Park and won 1-0
in a very tight game. We hope to reverse that scoreline tonight.
Hopefully today we can avoid our habit of giving away anything
cheap and play as well as we can. Some of the football we have
played at times has been outstanding but we need to find a level of
consistency and start doing it against the top sides as well in order
to get ourselves up into that top 5 which is our aim .
Enjoy the game.
