P. 3
Good evening and a warm welcome to the players, coaching
team and supporters of our neighbours Bitton for this
Toolstation Western League Division One local derby.
Our committee would also like to welcome today’s match
officials, referee Mike Halford and his 2 assistants, Alex
Vacher & Jozsef Madaras.
Saturday saw us win our second game in 4 days as we
followed up our excellent 4-2 victory at Warminster Town by
putting Bishop Sutton to the sword 7-0. Goals came from
Jemar Thomas (3), Javier Blazquez, Brandon Oputeri, Jaheim
Allen and Theo Jeremy. The race for the Ks Golden Boot is
certainly hotting up, with Jemar (15) now overtaking Joe
Davis (13) and Brandon (12)!
Most of you will have noticed our refurbished tea hut, which
is looking really smart after our successful application under
last summer’s scheme, which saw Howdens partnered with
the FA to invest £3M into improving grassroots football club’s kitchens so that they can serve
their communities with food and refreshments.
At our recent home game against Warminster Town, we welcomed representatives from
both Howdens (Tom Lillington & Liam White) and the McGill family (who kindly sponsor the
tea hut) as our guests to officially “open” the new tea hut.
The Ks are on the road next, with away games at Bristol Telephones (Saturday 17 February)
th
and Middlezoy Rovers (Saturday 24 February). Our next game here at Crown Fields will be
th
the visit of Wincanton Town on Saturday 2nsd March (3:00 pm kick-off).
Don’t forget to keep up with all the Ks news via our social media channels!
As always, thank you in anticipation of your continued support for the rest of the season!
Up the Ks!!
Jules French (Club Secretary)
