League Review

Corsham Town suffered the heartbreak of losing by the barest of margins in the
semi-finals of the Isuzu FA Vase and missing out on a trip to Wembley Stadium.
Visitors Ascot United won through to the Final by winning the penalty shoot-out
5-4 after a 2-2 draw. Goals from Sean Keet and James Rusby kept Corsham alive
but they suffered the same last four fate as another local team – Bitton – a few
       years ago.
Taking advantage of several postponements, Malvern Town cut the lead held by
Cribbs to two points by beating Tuffley Rovers 3-1 with goals from Ben Hayes 2
and Harry Clark. Ryan Dobbins reduced the arrears for the strugglers.
Worcester Raiders’ chances of finishing in the top three suffered a severe
setback as they were-drubbed 4-0 at home by Hereford Pegasus, for whom
Jordan Williamson netted twice and there was one apiece for Cawley Cox and
       Matthew James.
Roman Glass St. George also saw their hopes take a knock with a 3-1 home
defeat by Royal Wootton Bassett Town. Bradley Pagliaroli was on target twice
and Matthew Jones grabbed the other for the Wiltshire side.
A 5-3 win at Hereford Lads Club has boosted the survival chances of Lydney
Town at the other end of the table. Two goals from Jarred Liddington, and one
each by Jaheim Allen, Lewis Thompson and Lucas Vaughan saw them take three
vital points. Brandon Jennings 2 and Matthew Williams replied for the home side.
Jack Beardsell and Josh Mason earned Longlevens a narrow 2-1 victory at
Fairford Town who hit back through Finlay Jenner.

Cirencester Town Development notched their first win of the season in the First
Division, beating Moreton Rangers 2-0. Sam Kern and Matthew Purcell were on
       target in the momentous win.
James Hawkes grabbed the only goal of the game as Long Crendon won at
       Kidlington Reserves.
In the only other First Division fixture played on Saturday, Southam United
overcame Newent Town 2-1 with goals coming from Ryan Harris and Adam
Neale. Sanchez Grange scored a consolation goal for Newent.
