Good evening and a very warm welcome to Paulton
Rovers for this Somerset Premier Cup 2 Round tie. Our
                                         nd
visitors ply their trade in the Southern League, so we are
under no illusion at the task in front of the lads tonight.
Our committee would also like to welcome today’s match
officials, referee Craig Scriven and his 2 assistants, Jack
       Bromham & Kristian Gould.

It's been a while since we have been in action here at
Crown Fields, with us having trips to Falmouth,
Wellington and Street since we played Corsham in the FA
Vase. Those games seemed typical of our season so far,
with a fine performance at Falmouth in front of a large, boisterous home crowd of
365 seeing an Owen Brain brace earn us a point after being 2-0 down. However a
week later at Wellington (historically one of our worst hunting grounds), we failed
to take our chances in a first half that we shaded, before falling to a 5-0 defeat with
a poor second half display. This was followed at Street 3 days ago with a great shift
from the lads, only to succumb to a late winner from the home side. The goal came
after a lengthy delay following a serious injury to Jemar Thomas, who broke his
collar bone. Naturally everyone at the club sends Jem our best wishes and prayers
       for a speedy recovery.

We are now entering a nice run of Saturday home games leading up to Christmas,
hosting Millbrook (19 November), Shepton Mallet (26 November), Saltash United

Also don’t forget that the club has an excellent half-price season ticket
deal available! We have 9 home League games remaining this season,
starting with the Millbrook game this Saturday. We are offering season
tickets for those 9 games for the bargain price of only £45 (adults) and
£25 (over 65s), which also entitle you to free entry to our Reserves’
home league games – if you are interested in this fantastic deal, please
speak to either myself or any other committee member.

Thank you as always for your loyal support. Up the Ks!!

       Jules French (Club Secretary)
