Sheffield & Hallamshire League
AFC Bentley concluded their fixtures with a 2-0 win over Sheffield Utd Community
Foundation, thanks to goals from Gemma Harte (the division’s top scorer) and Jo Rice. This result
between the third and fourth place teams meant Bentley finished seven points clear of their
opponents in the Division One final table.
There were two topsy-turvy 4-3 away wins in Division Two. Amie Webster netted the game’s
decisive final goal for third place Socrates at Sheffield Wednesday Development. Claire
Attrill, Sophie Shemeld and Amber Wilson scored the earlier goals for Socrates, while Hannah
Jackson (2) and Freya Wilson were on target for Wednesday.
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic won 4-3 at Sheffield Utd Community Res whose
defeat condemned them to finish in bottom place. Both Jenna Portess and Rachel Nosworthy
(including the winner) netted twice for
Worsbrough who ended their season with a Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire
brace of wins, to pull well clear of the bottom
place they had occupied earlier in April. In PREMIER DIVISION P W D L F A Pts
