Gloucestershire League
Pucklechurch Sports moved themselves closer towards a league and cup double as they entered
the semi finals of the Gordon Perrett League Cup with a 10-1 victory over Cirencester Town.
Adele Hooper led the scoring with a five-goal haul, Tammi Haynes weighed in with a double, while
Poppy Coles and Jessica Werrett also got on the scoresheet. Longwell Green meanwhile
eliminated Olveston Utd on a penalty shootout, after the teams had battled out a 1-1 draw.
Dursley Town are one game away from reaching a second cup final, they also won on penalties
against Bishop's Cleeve after finishing 1-1, Leonie Gough having given Cleeve a ninth minute lead
and Phoebe Booth equalising for Dursley late on. Completing the semi final line up are Red Falcon
Club who ran out 4-1 winners away to Winchcombe Town. Evelyn Cohen netted two of the goals
and she was joined on the scoresheet by Roberta Hyam and Claudia D'Angelo, with Leanne Boulton
replying.
Division Three leaders Bradley Stoke were held to a goalless draw by Downend Flyers
Res and have seen their advantage cut to a single point by Whitchurch & Bristol, who beat
Mitcheldean SC 1-0 with Ilarna Nche scoring the only goal of the game. The other game in the
division saw Bristol Ladies Union Development edge out Southmead Community Sport
4-3, thanks to a Lucy Groves double, Samantha Ogilvie and Summer Spear.
Greater London League
Bromley FC Ladies are one victory away from landing the league title following their 2-0 win
against Clapton Community on Sunday. The match was an extremely important one for both
sides' title chances and it was Bromley who took the honours, thanks to goals from Terri-Ann
Warren and Rebecca Bays.
Charley Turton was on target for Camden Town Blues as they held Premier Division
high fliers Islington Borough to a 1-1 draw in the Anniversary Trophy, Abby Webster replying.
Actonians Ladies Res did beat Edgware Town 3-2 thanks to Emma Welch, Kayleigh Peters
and Fiona Moloney, whilst Brentford B were 1-0 winners over Sutton Utd U23. Emma Johnson
netted twice for Regents Park Rangers in their 5-2 victory over East London Ladies with
Natalia Debek, Abi Sabin and Valeria Alaya adding the others, and Headstone Manor edged out
Ashford Town (Middlesex) Res by the odd goal in five, their markswomen were Rosie Watts,
Jessica Vassena and Sinead Walsh. Michelle Keating netted a brace as Comets won 2-0 at Balham
Panthers whilst Virginia Somers hit a hat-trick for South London Women in their 3-0 victory
against Enfield Town 3rds.
In Division One North, Hackney Res moved away from the bottom two places, thanks to
a 4-0 success against New London Lionesses Development. Hannah Forbes netted twice and
she was joined on the scoresheet by Debora Cagnin and Ellie Turnbull.
Richmond & Kew have gone seven points ahead in Division One South following their
3-2 win away to South East Parakeets. Charlotte Close bagged a brace for the leaders and Jessica
Roberts added the other goal. Second placed UCL Academicals lost ground when they were held
to a 2-2 draw against South London Laces who scored through Elinor Mason and Riley Ratcliffe,
whilst Enya Collins grabbed both goals for the Academicals.
Sheffield & Hallamshire League
Harworth Colliery are on the brink of finishing Division One champions following their biggest
win of the season, 5-1 away to Rotherham Utd Whitehill. Sophie Thompson (2), Abbie France,
Grace Sanderson and Dani Thompson netted for Harworth who could be confirmed as champions
if the other title contenders drop points before their own final game of the season against AFC
Bentley, one of the teams who can still mathematically overtake Harworth. Eva Butler scored
Rotherham’s consolation goal. Connie Dyson scored for Sheffield Utd Community
Foundation who can no longer finish top after they drew 1-1 at home to Handsworth, Chloe
Channel with the away goal.
Meanwhile Handsworth Development will all but mathematically seal the Division
Two title in the next week if they win successive games against the two other teams in the top three.
