The Regional Leagues...
East Midlands League
Chesterfield have gone four points clear at the top of the Premier Division following their 5-3
victory away to Notts County. Millie Standen netted a brace for the leaders along with Hannah
Baker, Kelly Fidler and Georgia Wilson. Loughborough Students meanwhile claimed their
third win of the season, 3-1 against Rotherham Utd with Elizabeth White (2) and Beth Senior
on target.
Arnold Eagles moved themselves closer to the Division One North title with a seven-
goal blast against Cleethorpes Town. Natasha Leach and Amy Gauvrit each hit hat-tricks, with
Michelle Morphus adding the other. Second placed Nottingham Trent University can no
longer catch them despite their 4-2 success away to St Josephs Rockware of Worksop.
Elizabeth Stocks scored all four goals for the students, with Stacey Buxton and Deysha Pressley
replying. Mia Allen and Laura Flecknor scored the goals for Grimsby Borough in their 2-1 win
over Notts County Development, whilst Sherwood FC Women leapfrogged Sleaford
Town after beating them 3-1, thanks to Rebecca Frith (2) and Khaya Nagar.
Division One South leaders Derby County Academy did not play on Sunday and they
have been caught by Anstey Nomads, who defeated Loughborough Foxes Vixens 6-1.
Carmelina Colangelo and Kayleigh Needham each netted twice for Anstey along with Gemma Ball
and Ella Wortley. Emma Aspinall, Samantha Hargrave and Holly Moore, along with an own goal,
gave Oadby & Wigston a 4-0 victory over Peterborough Utd Res whilst Nottingham
Forest Development were 1-0 winners at Thrapston Town, courtesy of a strike from Jessica
Shaw. Coalville Town Ravenettes meanwhile beat Kettering Town 4-0, Aleksandra
Wawryzcka netting twice with Chloe Scott and Megan Williams adding the others.
Eastern Region League
Champions Wymondham Town have reached the League Cup Final after running out 4-1
winners over Haringey Borough. Hannah Waters was on target twice along with Laura
Nicholls and Hayley Kindred, whilst Shakira Kafero Roberts netted a consolation for the home
side. Wymondham will have to wait and see who they will play, due to the other semi final
between Wroxham and AFC Dunstable being postponed.
AFC Sudbury can still lift the Division One South title if they win their remaining games,
but on Sunday they moved themselves closer towards another trophy when they defeated Leigh
Ramblers 1-0 in the semi finals of the League Plate, Jessica Allen scoring the only goal of the
game. Sudbury's opponents in the Final will be Hutton who ended Whittlesey Athletic's run
by beating them 2-1 after extra time, despite a goal from Maddison Moore.
Royston Town are all but assured of the runners-up spot in the Premier Division
following their 2-1 win away to St Ives Town. Grace Georgiou scored both for Royston, with
Angel Lyden replying. Luton Town remain firmly in contention for a top three place, courtesy
of a 4-0 success against Colney Heath.
In Division One North, Haverhill Rovers climbed off the bottom as they won 3-1 at
Cambridge City Development. Kirsten Hutchings was on target twice along with Jenna
Wright, Carla Penny replying.
Herts Vipers Women kept their title hopes alive in Division One South with a 12-1
victory over Wodson Park. Kelsey Millen and Danielle Cliffe each scored hat-tricks whilst
Gracie Manning (2), Rebecca Edge (2), Sarah Payne and Rachel Wall accounted for the other
goals.
London & South East League
Ashford Town (Middlesex) are the league Champions, scoring ten times without reply past
Whyteleafe to put themselves out of reach of their rivals. Anya Kinnane led the scoring with a
hat-trick whilst Ruby Linton and Ashley Cheatley each contributed a double, and there was one
apiece from Jade Johnson, Kalani Peart and Alissa Down. Fulham FC Women may well take
second place if they win their last two games and stay on course after Katie Foster and an own
