P. 3

Good afternoon and a very warm welcome to our old
friends from Corsham Town for this FA Vase First Round
Proper tie. Our visitors now ply their trade successfully in
the Hellenic League Premier Division, so we are under no
illusion at the task in front of us today. Our committee
would also like to welcome today’s match officials,
referee Kevin Slade and his 2 assistants, Ian Smith &
       Alex Setchell.
It's going to be a few weeks on the road for the Ks after
today’s game, with our next home game being in the
Somerset Premier Cup against Southern League outfit
Paulton Rovers on Tuesday 15 November (19:45 kick-
                                  th
       off).
Last week saw us come out the wrong side of a nine-goal thriller at home to big
spenders Barnstaple Town. New signings Brandon Oputeri and Filbert Owusu-Antwi
made their Ks debuts, and Brandon scored twice as we went in at halftime 3-1 to
the good, with Henry Njonjo scoring the other. Barnstaple soon pegged it back to
3-3 after the interval, but Dylan Lewis then won and converted a penalty with 15
minutes left. The visitors equalised late in normal time, and after Brandon narrowly
missed out on his hat-trick deep into stoppage time, the visitors cruelly took the
points with a 97 minute goal. The fact that they celebrated like they had won the
                     th
FA Cup spoke volumes as to how unluck the young Ks braves were!
Next Saturday sees us make our longest trek so far this season when we are off to
Falmouth Town. We will be travelling to Falmouth by coach (departing Crown Fields
at 8:30am) and spectators are more than welcome to join the lads and
management team on the bus! The cost is only £10 per person and if you are
interested, please speak to either myself or any of our committee members at this
       afternoon’s game.

One other piece of news to bring you is the club’s excellent half-price
season ticket deal, which is now available! We have 10 home League
games remaining this season, starting with the visit of Millbrook on
Saturday 19 November. We are offering season tickets for those 10
                   th
games for the bargain price of only £45 (adults) and £25 (over 65s) – if
you are interested in this fantastic deal, please again speak to either
myself or any other committee member.

Thank you as always for your loyal support. Up the Ks!!

       Jules French (Club Secretary)
