Good afternoon and a very warm welcome to the AJN.
You join us today for final game of the season, and we are delighted to
welcome the players, coaching team, and supporters of Wincanton
Town for this re-arranged Toolstation Western League 1 match. The
committee would also like to welcome our officials for the game, referee
Dave Trevaskus and assistants Mark Vipond and Alex Cadden.
Today we welcome our U8’s who are the mascots for this game. Thank
you to Darren Knowles for organising the team for today. We also
welcome Smart Computers, Dean Wood and guests who are todays
match sponsors. Smart Computers have been long standing sponsors
and supporters of KTFC and we thank them for the continued support
along with all our sponsors. We hope you all enjoy your day!
This is the last game in what has been a very long season, but I would like to place on record
the clubs thanks to our Managers Marvin Brown & Ashley Morgan, our coaches and to all the
players who have turned out for us. It has been hard at times, but you have battled away,
sometimes against the odds, with grit and determination.
Following today’s game, we will be having a short end of season presentation, and you are all
welcome to stay on to see who takes away the awards!
Off the field you will be aware that Phil Gane stood down as Chairman back in November and
I was delighted to take up the reigns from him. Phil has been a dedicated servant to Keynsham
Town both through the committee but also in his role as Trustee. He has decided that now is
the right time to step down in his committee role as he would like to spend more time with his
       family.
Two other long-standing members of the committee are also moving on. Husband and wife
team Jules & Terrie French have been involved for over 12 years. Terrie as Treasurer and Jules
as Secretary. We will miss both but hope that they will be able to watch more Keynsham
games in the future as well as watching their other teams Portsmouth & Bristol City!
On behalf of everyone at the club, we wish Phil, Terrie & Jules all the best and Thank You! for
       everything you have done.
I was notified a couple of weeks ago by our reserve team manager, James Tooze, that we
would be stepping down at the end of the season to pursue a new opportunity. The committee
are disappointed to hear this news, but James has worked tirelessly over many seasons, and
we thank him for all his hard work and effort, sometimes single handedly, to get a team
together season after season. We wish James all the very best as he moves on to pastures new
and thank him for all the effort and commitment, he has put into Keynsham Town.
On Sunday 12 May the club is having its first and hopefully annual Funday here at the AJN
                  th
Stadium. Admission is free but we will be collecting on the gate for our chosen Charity
Muscular Dystrophy, so put the date in your diary now and come and support the club in our
first fundraising event. You can read more about the Funday in the programme, and we will
have more information on our Funday and all the K’s news via our website and all our social
       media channels!
A reminder that our AGM is being held on Wednesday 1 May 2024 at 7.30pm at the AJN
                                                    st
stadium, more information can be found here in the programme.
Finally, to you, our supporters, on behalf of the club, Thank you for your continued support
through this season. Sometimes results have not gone our way, but you all come back game
after game to show your continued unwavering support for the team. Next season, subject to
league approval, we will have a new U18 Floodlit side taking part in the Western Counties
Floodlight Youth League. We will share more details over the summer via our website and
social media channels, but we hope to see as many of you coming along to support all our
       teams.
Have a great summer and we look forward to going again in July for the 2024-25 season!
