League Review



       Mangotsfield United’s visit to Longlevens was cut short by a serious injury to
       the home side’s Bradley Martin on Friday evening. Martin suffered a double fracture
       and everyone sends him good wishes for a full recovery.
       Worcester  Raiders promotion  hopes  suffered a  blow  on  Saturday  when  they
       went down by the odd goal in seven at home to Brimscombe & Thrupp. Zaqib
       Hussein, Jordan Murphy and Shay Wilcox each found the net for Raiders, but the
       Gloucestershire outfit had the final say through Harlie Price 2, Jamie Bremner and
       Joshua Jones.
       Royal Wootton Bassett Town remain in third place after being held to a 1-1
       draw by fourth-placed Pershore Town. Jack McVeigh put the Wiltshire side ahead
       on 69 minutes, but the visitors snatched a point with an equaliser three minutes
       from time from substitute Connor Mort.
       Three goals around half time saw Hereford Pegasus maintain their challenge by
       beating Highworth Town 3-1. Nathan Higgs 2 and Jordan Williamson netted the
       goals that secured the points whilst Sol Pryce replied for Town.
       Thornbury Town were held up in their attempts to pull away from the relegation
       positions  by  a  late  leveller  from  Kane  Kahaki  for  Westfields  who  left  Mundy
       Playing Fields with a 1-1 draw. James Brock had appeared to have given Town a
       winning lead.
       Sam Blackie, George Neill and Jack Smith were on target for Slimbridge to earn
       them a narrow 3-2 victory at Tuffley Rovers for whom Karnell Chambers and
       Connor Walters replied.
       Hereford Lads Club and Calne Town fought out a goal less draw in the other
       Premier Division gam e played.


       Just three First Division fixtures survived the weather on Saturday.
       Cheltenham  Saracens  battled  for  a  valuable  point  from  a  1-1  draw  at  FC
       Bristol. After taking a first half lead through Stuart Midwinter they were pegged
       back after the interval by James Hall for the hosts with twenty minutes remaining.
       Moreton Rangers gained a rare success, beating Stonehouse Town 2-1. Jake
       Peters and Jack Newman netted for the winners whilst Nicholas Humphreys scored
       a consolation goal for the visitors.
       A single goal from John Mills gave Abingdon United all three points at home to
       bottom of the table Chipping Sodbury Town.
