                               Saturday 17th September 2022
                            Bishops Lydeard 1 Brislington 6
                           Jones 8, 37 & 44, White 34 & 63, Barwood 17

A er a week off due a blanket call off of all football as a remark of respect following the Death of
the Queen. We travelled to Bishops Lydeard.
We were s ll missing a glut of players & Ash Kington received the bad news that he has torn his ACL
ligament. And looks like it’s our 2nd player we have lost for the season.
Egan & Allward we’re back following injury to take their places on the bench. And Ben Tucker came
in on the right hand side of a front 3.
We started well and a er 5mins Barwood had a header from a Dunn corner which he put just wide.
A er 8mins we took the lead a er good work on the le Tobins shot was saved but Jones followed
up to score the rebound. 0-1.
Macca & Tobin we’re causing all kinds of problems for out hosts on our le hand side.
On 12mins we should have doubled our lead by the keeper saved at point blank from Jones.
On 17mins Macca got the best of the home defence again and saw his thundering shot hit the bar.
The rebound fell kindly for Barwood who finished with his le foot into the corner.
4mins later Jones had another chance but again the keeper was equal to it as he tried to round the
       keeper.
We were s ll pushing but could not finish decent chances we had.
On 34mins the game was virtually finished as a contest. The home side No 4 seemed to handle the
ball in the box & a penalty given. He was also shown a straight red which seemed to be a strange
decision. White stepped up and put the ball to the keepers le 0-3.
3mins later it was 0-4 a poor clearance from the home sides keeper fell to Jones who had the easy
chance to roll it into the net.
44mins Jones completed his hat trick his persistence in the box gave him the chance to get his 3rd
       goal.

       HT 0-5
We started the 2nd half going up the slope with a 10 man home side content to sit in and not
concede any further goals. We had a lot of possession but we’re unable to create the clear cut
       chances of the 1st half.
The keeper made another from Macca on 57mins and to be honest he kept the score down.
On 63mins a decent cross from Dunn found White unmarked who headed home for his 2nd of the
       game 0-6
With the game now finished as a contest we became a bit sloppy and we stepped of the pace. This
allowed the home side to grab a consola on on 78mins.

       FT 1-6

A clinical 1st half performance from us gave us the 3 points in 45mins. This gives us 3 wins on the
bounce scoring 14 goals in those games.
