Warminster Town FC - A History
Warminster Town FC was founded in 1878, matches were originally played at
Holly Lodge but subsequently moved to their current home at Weymouth Street,
playing their football in the Wiltshire County League
1900/01 - Wiltshire Senior Cup Winners
1930-39 – Members of the Western League
1945-82 – Members of the Wiltshire County League
1983-2002 - Members of the Great Mills Western League (Best Finish 4 th
1994/95)
1994 – A new club house was built, replacing the main stand that had been
opened 70 years earlier
2002 – Members of the Wiltshire County League, Premier Division, (Best Finish

2012 – Re-joined the TOOLSTATION Western League, Division One
2019/20 - Reached the 4 Round of the FA Vase

2020/21 - Our Ladies Team gained promo on to the South Western Women’s
Football League Division One East
2021/22 - Our Ladies Team became Champions of the South Western Women’s
Football League Division One East & were runners-up in the Wiltshire FA
Women’s Cup
2021/22 - Our First Team finished as Runners-Up of the TOOLSTATION Western
League, Division One, the highest place ever in the Club’s History
