The commanding centre half has a had a number of successful previous
spells with the White Tigers including playing integral roles in our 2015
Play Off win as well being part of our historic FA Cup First Round squad.
He re-joined the White Tigers in October 2019 following his departure
from Taunton Town where he has become an integral part of the City
backline. The 29-year-old agreed terms on a new Truro deal in May 2021.
DEFENDER Cheick Diabate

Young defender Cheick Diabate joined the White Tigers on loan from
League Two side Exeter City in July 2021. The 20-year-old Exeter
Academy graduate made his Grecians debut in October 2020 against
West Bromwich Albion in the EFL Trophy. He has also had loan spells with
local sides Buckland Athletic, Bideford and Tiverton Town.
DEFENDER Niall Thompson

Hacknall Town.
The versatile winger/full back is a popular figure whose former
clubs include Hucknall Town, Sheffield FC, Mickleover Sports and
Torquay United, from where he was loaned to The White Tigers
in 2014/15. Niall was part of our record-breaking FA Cup first
round squad in 2017 and has played anywhere from striker to
right-back. He was named the clubs Player of the Season in the
2019/20 season. Going into his sixth full season with the White
Tigers, he agreed a new deal in May 2021.
DEFENDER Ellis Johnson
18 Previous Clubs – Exeter City
Young defender Ellis Johnson joined the White Tigers in the summer of
2021 on loan from League Two side Exeter City. The energetic full-back
trialled with the club during pre-season and signed a few weeks later. The
18-year-old has been a regular for the Grecians Under 18s squad being
a star man in their Youth Alliance League and FA Youth Cup campaigns.
DEFENDER Connor Riley-Lowe

Riley-Lowe started his career with League Two side Exeter City, where he
came through the club’s academy before signing his first professional
contract with the Grecians in 2014. He ended up making 14 first team
appearances for the club, in between having two highly successful loan
spells in Cornwall with Truro. Following his release from the Devon side,
he was quickly snapped up by the White Tigers on a permanent basics in
the summer of 2017 where he starred across two campaigns and was
named Player of the Year on both occasions before deciding to leave to
join Bath City in 2019. He returned to Treyew Road after a year away
following his release from the Somerset side in 2020.
DEFENDER Shane White

The versatile player can operate across the backline or in midfield re-
joined the White Tigers after 4 years away with Taunton Town in 2020.
He starred for the Peacocks in their FA Cup First Round run as well as
their promotion to the Southern League. He originally joined the club on
loan in 2008 from Plymouth Argyle before signing permanently in 2013
and had 3 incredibly successful seasons before joining the Somerset
outfit. He scored the goal that saw us promoted back to the National
League South in 2015 in a 1-0 home win over St Neots Town. He agreed
new terms to extend his stay in May 2021.
MIDFIELDER Ryan Brett
