Good afternoon all.
A very warm welcome this afternoon to
the players, management and
committee of Ilfracombe Town. Can I
also extend our welcome to the officials
this afternoon , referree Mike Halford
and assistants Shaun Enever & Adam
Boubrahmi.
It feels like a long time since I last sat
down to write notes for our
programme, after a run of away games
and oiur last 2 home games being
postponed due to Covid outbreaks for
our opposition. My last recollection is of
talking about the good run that we
were enjoying in the lead up to Christmas. How quickly things
change! From a results perspective, I think it is fair to say that
December 2021 will not go down in our memories as being the best
that we have. Despite our best endeavours and continued hard work
by all associated within the Club, things haven't worked out the way
that we would have liked, but that's life and we move on. Believe me
it is not or the want of trying!
The new year is a good time for us all to reflect. A time to think about
how we want things to be going forward and to how we can can all
be better in what we do.
I would settle for 3 points today - for those of us over this side of the
road, it wouldn't be a bad start, would it?
