Good afternoon and a very warm welcome
to the players, coaching team and
supporters of our good friends Bishop
Sutton for this Toolstation Western League
Division One game. Our visitors have had a
tough season so far, but I can assure you
that our lads will be taking nothing for
granted this afternoon.
Our committee would also like to welcome
today’s match officials, referee Cameron
Cudlipp and his 2 assistants, Andy Dixon &
Jack Clark.
Although last weekend’s First Division results dropped us back into
the bottom 3, we made amends on Wednesday night with an
excellent 4-2 away at Warminster Town, only our second victory on
the road this season. 3 great team goals from Brandon Oputeri,
Jemar Thomas and Theo Jeremy gave us a comfortable lead, but
when the hosts pulled it back to 3-2, there were a few nerves
amongst the Ks healthy away support. However a clinical fourth from
Jemar Thomas in stoppage time clinched the victory.
Most of you will have noticed our refurbished tea hut, which is looking
really smart after our successful application under last summer’s
scheme, which saw Howdens partnered with the FA to invest £3M
into improving
grassroots football
club’s kitchens so that
they can serve their
communities with
food and
refreshments.
At our last home
game, we welcomed
representatives from
both Howdens (Tom
Lillington & Liam
