Reserves Report

A preview of the current pre season for the reserves so far

After a very frustrating and difficult start to last season the way all the players stuck
together and finished the season was a credit to them all, so my first aim was to keep all
the current squad and add to the management team and playing staff.

This has gone really well as an ex player Josh Cocking has come in alongside Luke
Roberts as assistant managers, which will give us another view and like myself and Luke,
will always give an opinion and a few different ideas.

We have also signed a few players who will add both quality and quantity to our squad,
and with the first team and A team signing on players number wise the has been the
most players in pre season we have had over the past few seasons.

Although we have been training and playing games since early July we still are a few
weeks away from our season staring but we have had some good results seeing us
advance to the semi final of the filwood cup (we will possibly be in the final at time of
printing) we will be hoping to improve both on and off the pitch together, and take that
into a new league that we don’t know a lot about, so this will be a nice new challenge for
us all

As always we are expecting a tough season but with the added players and Josh coming
in the squad seem more together after last years battle so with a little luck along the way
hopefully we can have a more positive season.

Lastly I would like to wish everyone in the club the best of luck going into the new
season, hopefully it’s a positive one for us all both on and off the pitch
