Today’s Game

Firstly, Cribbs FC would like to extend a very warm welcome to the visiting
players, team management, supporters and officials of Hallen, together
with the match officials for today’s Hellenic League Premier Division match.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to the Lawns.

       Match Reports
Tuesday evening’s match against Fairford Town provided us with a quick
opportunity to get back on track after the disappointment of the Malvern
match. After our early season trip to East Gloucestershire, we were under
no illusion regarding the difficulties we would face in securing three points.
Possession during the first half was even, but Cribbs carved out the better
       goal scoring opportunities.
Jake Hodgson twice met crosses into the box with a first time shot and Nick
Jones had an effort from the edge of the box. The keeper was equal to all
       three.
Other notable efforts saw a teasing cross from Ryan Crouch evade three
onrushing forwards and a Lewis Hedges attempted chip that soared over
       the bar.
Liam Kingston was barely troubled in the Cribbs goal as our three central
defenders soaked up most of the Fairford attacks without too much trouble.
The early part of the second half was uneventful and Fairford were not put
under a great deal of pressure. As a result, Rich Luffman decided to
increase our attacking intent with the introduction of Lewis Waldy, George
       Kellow and Ali Boyer.
Cribbs ramped up the pressure in the last twenty minutes and after a couple
of penalty appeals were turned down, they finally secured one in the last
few minutes as Ryan Radford was impeded.
The calm head of Ross McErlain stepped forward to send the keeper the
wrong way and secure the three points.

       This Evening’s Opponents
This is the first time that we have met Hallen in the Hellenic League
following both clubs move sideways from the Toolstation Western League
       Premier Division.
Apart from a pre-season ‘friendly’ before the 2020/2021 season, we haven’t
played our local rivals recently due to the curtailment of the last two
       seasons.
We look forward to renewing our rivalry.
As always, get behind the boys!!!
