Welcome

Good afternoon and welcome to The Field.

We extend a special warm welcome to the players, management and
supporters of Tytherington Rocks FC, for this Festive Season Toolstation
Western League First Division fixture. We hope they enjoy their short stay
with us and have a safe journey home tonight. We also offer our thanks to
our Match Officials for today and hope they enjoy the game.

First things First -

A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE,
FROM ALMONDSBURY FOOTBALL CLUB.

Not only is this season being played with an unusual backcloth where
everyone is trying to keep themselves safe; the football is anything but
consistent. Our results had been embarrassing during the eary past of the
campaign but were suddenly excellent up to our home game against
Welton Rovers who came here defending an unbeaten league record and
we stuffed them 3-0!

However, in another bizarre twist of fate, we haven’t won since! Defeats to
Sherborne, Lydney and Bishop Sutton with increasing scores against us has
pushed us back into the relegation fight. Three points today will end the
year well.

Today we meet newcomers Tytherington Rocks who whilst not strangers to
us are coming here for the first time as a Toolstation Western League Club.
A tough game is anticipated.

We hope you will enjoy the game and look forward to seeing you all again.
