In Town today Weston super Mare F.C.
Keiran Thomas - With Cheltenham since the age of 11, Keiran progressed
through the ranks and spent time on loan with Cinderford in 2013. He joined them
permanently that same year and spent three years with the club, including being
captain in 2015-2016. He joined Gloucester in 2016 and was captain for the
2017-2018 season before signing for Hereford FC in 2018. Spending two years with
the Edgar Street club, he joined the Seagulls in the summer of 2020.
Dayle Grubb - The captain came through the Weston academy and broke through
in 2009, going on to become an essential figure on the left wing over the eight
years that followed. He moved on to Forest Green Rovers in 2018 as he got his big
break into league football, and after a three-game loan spell at Eastleigh, Dayle
returned in 2020 where he has since hit 400 appearances and 100 goals for the
club.
Bailey Kempster - The young winger has been with the club since he was 16 and
has featured for our under-19 team regularly. He has spent the past two seasons
gaining experience with Willand Rovers on loan in the division below, which stands
him in good stead for the future with Weston.
James Dodd - Dodd came through the academy at Exeter City, and has spent time
on loan with Taunton Town before two serious ACL injuries curtailed his progress.
He joined Weston on loan in the 2021-2022 season and was a regular within the
side for the campaign, before joining the Seagulls permanently in the summer.
Jack Holmes - The midfielder spent time in the Cheltenham and Forest Green
academies, before joining Brimscombe & Thrupp for a season at the age of 18. He
then decided to move abroad to America for four years before returning and
featuring for Brimscombe again, as well as featuring for Slimbridge in the 2021 pre-
season. He joined the Seagulls in August 2021.
Lloyd Humphries - The Welshman came through the academy at Cardiff City and
spent most of the 2016-2017 season on loan with Weston. Injuries curtailed his
progress with Cardiff afterwards, and his next senior experience came with the
Seagulls in the 2019-2020 season after returning on loan over the festive period.
Following his Cardiff departure in 2020, he signed for Weston permanently.
Jacob Jagger-Cane - Another product of the Exeter academy, Jacob spent loan
spells with Poole Town and Weymouth before joining Weston on a permanent basis
in 2014. He established himself in the centre of the park thanks to his all-action
displays, spending 18 months as captain between January 2018 and his departure
in the summer of 2019 for Hereford FC. He returned on loan in November 2019 for
a couple of months before linking back up with the side permanently in 2020.
