League Review

Malvern Town stole a march on title rivals Cribbs when they beat them
2-1 at Malvern on Saturday to open a lead of five pints over their rivals,
though the Bristol outfit still has three games in hand. Victory for Cribbs
would have made them firm favourites for the championship but the home
side took a ninth minute lead through Harry Clark. Aysa Corrick levelled the
scores shortly after the interval, but substitute Joe Bates fired Malvern back
in front with 20 minutes remaining and the held the lead until the end. A
blow to Cribbs title ambitions but under no circumstances was it a terminal
       one.
Ben Vine scored the only goal of the game for Westfields midway through
the second half to take all three points from their visit to Roman Glass St.
       George.
Hereford Pegasus netted twice in two first half minutes to put them in
control of their home game against Bradford Town. Jamie Price and
Cawley Cox were on target. After the break, Cox added his second goal
within two minutes of the re-start and Carlos Moreira completed the 4-0 win
       in the final minutes.
Only four Premier Division matches were completed on Saturday. In the
other game played, Hereford Lads Club edged out Wantage Town 2-1
thanks to first half efforts from Adam Hockey and Brandon Jennings. Mark
Francis pulled a goal back for Town towards the end.
Worcester Raiders v Royal Wootton Bassett Town was abandoned
       due to a frozen pitch.

Just one First Division game survived the weather. Cirencester Town
Development are still seeking their first point of the season after 24
attempts as they lost their latest outing 5-1 at Long Crendon. Daniel
Pounds notched a hat trick, and there was one apiece for Ryan Sagar and
Nathan Simms the give Crendon the points. Ken Mills reduced the arrears
for Ciren but their task is becoming even more difficult as no-one wants to
be the first team that surrenders a point to them!
