The History of Odd Down (Bath) F.C. Cont..
to ensure any works around the ground were completed in time for the new
season.
Early in the 2012- 2013 season, work commitments led to Lee Burns stepping
down as manager; however his assistant Terry Moore took up the reign and in
2013-14 season with Ray Johnston as his assistant steered Odd Down FC to forth
place in the Premier League.
2014-15 saw the resignation of Terry Moore, but Ray Johnston was ready to step up to the
challenge appointing Lee Rendall as his assistant and in their first season achieved a credible
5 spot in the Premier League.
th
2015-16 season saw Ray retain all but one of the previous season's squad, and what a
season it was, pre-season saw them secure the title in Fry Club Tournament using a mixture
of 1 Team Reserve and U18 players. This set the scene for a great season with Odd Down
st
being crowned Premier League Champions for the first time in the clubs history.
2016-17 With Ray Johnston and Lee Rendall still at the helm it wasn't such a great season
season with 1 team and reserves both finishing a credible 7 in their respective leagues,
th
st
with the U18s taking runners up spot for the second successive season.
The crowning of Odd Down Reserves as Somerset Senior Cup Champions was a terrific end
to the season.
2017-18 saw Ray Johnston saw the resignation of Ray Johnston, leaving to concentrate on
his new home, leaving Lee Rendall to take over the reins, Lee lost no time in appointing Dean
Horseman from Thornbury Town as his No 2.
Not a great season for the team who could only manage 14 in the league, reserves finished
th
7 in the Somerset County Premier League, and the U18s had a great season winning
th
promotion to their premier league as runners up in the North Division and also ruuner's up
in the Roger Stone League Cup.
2018-19 was a turbulent season for both 1 and reserve teams with both teams struggling
st
to get commitments from the players, Dean Horseman parted company with the club and
th
Lee carried on alone 'til the end of the season, only managing a disappointing 15 , the
reserves only managed 1 win all season and were to be relegated to the first division but
after much thought 'Chairman' Dave Loxton felt he had no option but to withdraw the
reserve team from the Somerset County League. Once again the U18s had a great season
finishing runners up of the Somerset Floodlight Youth League in their first season in the
Premier Division.
2019-20 Lee Rendall has appointed Gary Powell as his assistant/coach, Gary had played for
the club several years ago, and was at Paulton Rovers as coach before leaving at the end of
last season, Gary has brought a new flair and determination to the squad especially at
training sessions and with a lot of new signings plus a few old faces the pre-season has gone
brilliantly with no losses and only 2 draws in all matches played.
The U18s have new managers in Jay Riccio and Phil O'Hare and look to have a very strong
squad for the coming season, in the now renamed Western Counties Floodlight Youth
League
