WELCOME TO SHIREHAMPTON F.C.

Good Evening to AEK Boco players, supporters and officials. SHIREHAMPTON
After a two and a half week break it’s good to finally get
back playing. I always said I’d review things after 10 games FOOTBALL CLUB
into October and the break has given me a good
opportunity to do that. I have felt the need to strengthen
especially defensively and have signed Left Back Luke President
Burman from Almondsbury, Winger Miles Scott from Roman Kelvin Gordon
Glass and Right Back Jordan Lowaray from Welton Rovers.
These 3 strengthen us defensively and also add good
balance with two of them being natural left footers, Chairman:
something we’ve missed even last year. We have a huge Pete McCall
squad now but that makes the whole club stronger and petemccall1957@outlook.com
with us having a very strong reserve side this year it gives
players a platform to go and play and earn the right to get
back in the first team squad when there lacking game time Vice Chairman:
with us, we all need to buy into this now and continue
making things strong throughout the club. On that note I’d Sam Whittaker
like to congratulate Joe & Denz on the great starts they’ve
had this season most notably last weekend with the Secretary & Treasurer:
reserves winning 11-0 and the Thirds winning 10-0 it was
great to see and I enjoyed watching the reserves in action Mark Stockham
     during our break. markstockham@yahoo.co.uk
I set the players a target to be in the top 8 at christmas,
we are currently 10th and only 3 points off 8th place with Committee Members:
a game in hand and although I am happy there’s still some James Loud
frustration with points dropped that we could be higher. I Sharlie Sollars
feel for the boys with some of the results and I’m sure we
can start to learn from mistakes and start turning draws Lee Rogers
into wins and grinding results out, if they do and we can Richard Whittaker
get some consistency I feel the target is more than Paul Brimson
achievable but again as I keep re-iterating to the players
it’s not a given and we will have to work harder than ever Pete Kelly
to achieve anything at this level.
                                                           Bar Manager:
Tonights opponents are young and skilful and will be
looking to bounce back from a freakish defeat the Alex Warman
weekend, we have to be wary of the backlash tonight from
a very good team. I’ve watched them a couple of times and
have liked what I’ve seen and expect them to be up there Club address:
challenging for the play off positions. We will have to be on Penpole Lane,
top of our game to get anything this evening. Shirehampton
On one final note I hope Pete McCall manages to catch up Bristol BS11 0EA
with John Winter from Boco tonight after dragging me
around Benidorm in the summer trying to find him for a Telephone number:
beer unsuccessfully. Fingers crossed he’s brought his wallet
and can get him a long overdue beer in the bar tonight. 0117 235 461
