Nathan Bell – CM: “Bellers” could of passed for a basketball player, this lad has
bags of talent , once he gets going he’s hard to stop. P/clubs - Roman Glass,
Hillfields and AEK Boco.
Cole Pierre – LM/RM: Mr sportsman, cricket, golf, MMA fighter, turn his hands and
feet to any sport. Tricky winger with bags of pace. P/clubs - Chipping Sodbury ,
Roman Glass and DRG Stapleton.
Sam Roberts – CM: Mr Sensible, always gives 100%. A good example to the
younger lads in the squad. P/clubs - Welton, Bishop Sutton and Roman Glass
James Fox – CM: “Foxy” tough tackling CM, comfortable on the ball, if he ain’t on
holiday he’s injured will be a great asset to the squad. P/clubs - Nicholas
Wanderers, Oldland
Owen Ridler – CM:
Callum Ball – CM: A talented youngster, who loves the ball at his feet. Has good
vision and engine to match. Is able to play with both feet and will ghost into the
opposition’s penalty box unnoticed. P/clubs – Chipping Sodbury.
Kev Pollard – Joint Manager: Played for Chippenham as a 17yr old before moving
around the county league until a really bad ACL injury at the age of 20. Eventually
got back playing with Fishponds Ath in the Prem Combination then damaged other
knee which then made his mind up to stop playing, aged 27 and move in to
management . 2006-2009 manager at Nicholas Wanderers , winning the Prem
Combination. He then completed F.A. coaching badges and coached his son at
Keynsham Town before playing football with him at Wick. Kev did have a brief
management role at Wick before returning to Nicholas Wanderers , taking them
from District Senior to Prem Combination, winning various leagues & cups along
the way. Had a spell at Oldland Abbotts last season and have now started a new
chapter at Wick.
Jamie Johnson – Joint Manager: Started adult football career at Potterswood
then went on to AEK Boco. Moved on to Roman glass & after 2/3 seasons decided
to join local team, Hillfields OB's to avoid travelling. Won numerous honours as a
player, then decided to get involved with management of the side. After Hillfields
folding, resumed playing career with 3 lions & then ended up returning as manager
of AEK Boco A. After 2 delayed COVID seasons, finally won the league and got to
last season GFA cup final. Looking forward to the Wick challenge.
Alastair Foale – Assistant Manager: Played for various teams around Bristol while
coaching as a secondary, until injury stopped Alastair playing anything regular.
Decided coaching is what he wanted to do so went to America to coach full time,
worked with clubs around New York including the Red Bulls. Came back and
worked with SGS for two seasons, worked with Mangotsfield for the last two
seasons as first team coach, and then started at Wick this season. At university
studying sports coaching, and currently holds a UEFA B, with the view to do a UEFA
A asap.
