Welcome

Good afternoon and welcome to The Field.

We extend a special warm welcome to the players, management and
supporters of Hengrove Athletic FC, for this Toolstation Western League
First Division fixture. We hope they enjoy their short stay with us and have
a safe journey home tonight. We also offer our thanks to our Match Officials
for today and hope they enjoy the game.

Following our last programme notes we had another run of three successive
victories but spoiled that run by losing heavily at Wincanton Town last
Saturday. Our last home game saw a narrow 3-2 success over Oldland
Abbotonians which we followed with an important 2-1 victory at Bishops
Lydeard to keep us away from the drop zone. The following Tuesday we
visited AEK Boco in the Les Phillips Cup, and after a 2-2 draw we
demonstrated our prowess from the penalty spot with a convincing 4-1 win
in the shoot-out.

Today we meet Hengrove Athletic who are positioned just above ourselves
in the table after having a reasonable season to date, and so another tough
game is anticipated.
