WELCOME TO SHIREHAMPTON F.C.
Good afternoon and welcome to Warminster Towns players, SHIREHAMPTON
officials and supporters
Coming off the back of another midweek horror show we look to FOOTBALL CLUB
bounce back again and get the 3 points against a side who will be
strong and looking to catch us in the league table. We beat
Warminster 2-0 away with a fantastic team effort on the night and President
we will need a similar performance today. Kelvin Gordon
Wednesday wasn’t good enough again but in the teams defence I
have to stick up for them after hearing some of the negative Chairman:
comments I’m told were being said from Wednesday game, most
of which I believe were aimed towards myself. This is our first Pete McCall
season in the Western League, we are 6th place currently in a play petemccall1957@outlook.com
off position after 28 games and I’m hearing a lot of moans and
groans and the atmosphere around the place isn’t great when we
don’t perform well. It’s almost unbelievable considering we have Secretary & Treasurer:
no budget and are competing against sides with a lot more
resources than ourselves and we’re doing ourselves proud. It’s Mark Stockham
easy to moan and have a point to say to put the boot in rather than markstockham@yahoo.co.uk
support the side, we’re United in our changing room and it would
be nice if we all could be off the pitch aswell. I’m extremely proud
and happy with the team so far and whilst games like wednesday Assistant Secretary:
are frustrating we have to expect some bad results, we are Richard Carey
currently punching above our weight and we are doing brilliantly, r-carey&sky.com
all I ask is when these blips come along we all get behind the team
and show support, it’s easy to moan and voice a point of view and
be negative but that doesn’t really help anyone. I understand it’s Matchday Secretary:
frustrating for people because we all want to win but I’d love Nicky Carey
everyone to all come together and try and help us get as many
wins between now and the final game of the season to see where
we end up. We’ve come along way in just less than 2 years let’s Committee Members:
not forget that.
James Loud
We have a few injuries, Charlie Pollinger (hip), Ethan Kemball Sharlie Sollars
(ankle), Dan Spicer (ribs), Rich Brightwell (sick), Steve Fitzpatrick
(away), Mitch Greenslade (away) but positive news is Luca Orwa Lee Rogers
is available for the first time since signing 3 weeks ago and Joe Tom Donnely
Heal has received his international clearance after signing from
Chepstow Town in the welsh league over a month ago. Harvey
Baker has signed from Mangotsfield FC and made an impressive Bar Manager:
first start Wednesday as well. If players become available who I Alex Warman
feel will improve us I would be stupid not to sign them and I’m
pleased to welcome all 3 into the fold, we have to continually
improve the squad over time to build a side capable of competing Club address:
at the top end of the table and if that means chopping and
changing in a season which I class as a rebuilding year that’s what Penpole Lane,
I will do. Shirehampton
Please support us during and after the games and as a club let’s Bristol BS11 0EA
all pull together for the final 14 games of the season, all of us in
our changing room need all of your unwavered support to try and
get us over the line. Telephone number:
0117 235 461
Enjoy the game
