End of Year Message Colin Pick (Chairman)

We are into the final few days of 2022 and what a roller-coaster of a year
its has been. We finished last season in a very credible 7th place and won
the Gloucestershire FA Challenge Cup with a resounding 5-0 victory over
Cirencester Town in the Final at GFA Headquarters in Almondsbury.

Paul Michael then decided to move on and take up the vacant manager's
job at his local club Merthyr Town FC. I would like to put on record our
thanks to Paul and his staff for his time and efforts whilst he was Yate Town
       Manager.
In the summer we lost most of the squad from last season and the
appointment of Peter Beadle was made in time for the new season. Peter
had a massive job of recruiting virtually a whole new squad for the
upcoming season and by October, results were not going our way and Peter
felt it was right to step down as Manager.

We then appointed John Rendell and he is working tirelessly to improve the
         WELCOME
squad and also bringing the much-needed team spirit back to Yate Town
FC. We are very confident John and his squad can move up the table into
a position to build on for next season.

Behind the scenes we lost Rich Thompson - Football Director and Mark
Thorne - Commercial Manager. As per my message then Thommo will
always have a place at Yate Town when he feels the time is right to come
back. and Mark who left for personal and work commitments also left with
knowledge that he would always be welcome back.

Is it my great pleasure in announcing Mark has rejoined the club this week
in a position on the board of directors. I'm sure you will all welcome Mark
back, as his drive off the pitch will only help us to put in a more professional
structure behind the scenes, which will then put us in a strong position to
move the club forward not just on the pitch but also off it too.
Mark said regarding his return to the club:

"I'm very excited about returning to the club and looking forward to
engaging with supporters and volunteers to work together and take the
       club forward".
