SHIREHAMPTON F.C. - PLAYER PROFILES

     George Brimson
Striker, turned left back, turned keeper! They say the older you get the further back
you move on the pitch and it’s true with George stepped in well last year, so deserves
a chance to prove himself this season.
     James Kenway
High Maintenance drama Queen but wouldn’t change him for the world. Has
threatened to leave if Petey don’t dry the kit properly for a match day. Solid defender
     who’s losing his hair.
     Eddie Polaine
Recent new signing, who took on the minibus challenge and looked like he was going
to beat it until he collapsed and got put in a taxi home an hour after arriving back. Solid
quick defender who’s fitted in well. Got the best moustache in the league.

     Dan Spicer
A midfielder by trade but he enjoys it so much in defence he’s asked to play there all
season. Strong solid footballer who can play with the ball. Read the game well.

     Richard Brightwell
Back after 6 months away travelling last year. Can play in midfield, on the wing or
upfront is a real utility man. Great servant to the club and natural footballer.

     Kevin Davis
Ex-professional footballer previously with Swansea FC. Been around the local scene
with Frome, Larkhall and Mangotsfield is an experienced solid centre half.

     Charles Rendle
Ex-Bristol Rovers youth player. Had the worst debut in the clubs history earlier in pre-
season but has come in leaps and counts since. Direct wing back who lives to get at
full backs and delivers a cracking ball from his left foot. Is going to get better and better
     as the season goes on.

     Risuna Mabusa
Technical left back previously with Bristol Rovers as a youth player. Great attitude and
     lovely lad.

     Akram Abdullahi
Aks has a great attitude. Trained well in the summer after joining us from Odd Down.
Lovely bloke who’s looking to force his way into the team this year.

     Dan Morne
Captain and leads by example on the pitch. Honest player who leaves everything on
the pitch. No longer allowed in the bar after games or up the club with the lads, he’s a
true example of a changed man.
