       Cheltenham clear Final hurdle

Cheltenham Town continued a memorable week for the club by lifting a second trophy in three
days, this beating Almondsbury 3-0 in the Gloucestershire FA Trophy Final.
However they were made to work hard for the win by a determined Almondsbury side who
fought valiantly until the final whistle.
Cheltenham had the better of the early possession without creating anything of note but on
eighteen minutes, Holly Rogers went down under a challenge in the area from Almondsbury
goalkeeper Sophie Cooper and Charlotte Criddle slotted home the resulting penalty.
Cooper saved a long range effort from Criddle, whilst at the other end, a 30-yard free kick
from Mollie Jones flew straight at Aimee Watson. Back came Cheltenham and Rogers played in
Amy Bevan, whose efoort was tipped onto the post by Cooper.
