Today’s Game

Firstly, Cribbs FC would like to extend a very warm welcome to the visiting
players, team management, supporters and officials of Brislington Football Club,
together with the match officials to this afternoon’s Toolstation League – Premier
Division clash. We hope that you enjoy your short time with us.
       Match Report
Cribbs looked for back to back wins as they took on Keynsham Town at the Lawns
       on Tuesday evening.
We started quite brightly, but without fashioning many clear-cut chances. The
first half chance fell to Matt Spiller. Ross McErlain’s free kick from the centre
circle was flicked on by Tom Anthony and Spiller couldn’t guide his shot goal
       wards from an acute angle.
Steve Murray was then involved in a couple of positive moments. Firstly, Lewis
Waldy played him in down the left and his cross into the six-yard box evaded our
attackers. Soon after he had the best chance of the game so far but fired his
header over the bar from close range.
The lead was not long coming though. Kellow and Harrison combined on the edge
of the box to lay the ball back to Dan Webb. His speculative shot deceived the
keeper who was beaten down to his left. The second part of the half was very
even, though Keynsham created few chances and we extended our lead just
before half-time. Waldy had a free kick on the right-hand edge of the box and
played it back to right back Josh Bennett, who delivered it into the box for Ryan
       Crouch to head home.
The second half saw Keynsham in the ascendancy and looked only a matter of
time before they scored. The goal duly came midway through the half as a strong
shot from their forward, Ade Harvey, saw McDiarmid make a save, but he could
not rise quick enough to stop the ball dropping in. Despite being on the back
foot, not long afterwards fortune was on our side. A ball was cleared to the edge
of the box and Ed Harrison arrowed the ball into the far corner down to the
keeper’s right to give us the two-goal cushion again.
This must have irked their goal scorer, as within five minutes he saw red after
launching himself into our Harrison. If our fans thought they could breathe a sigh
of relief, then they were wrong. The ten men looked the better side and with
fifteen minutes to go, they scored after a corner led to a goalmouth scramble.
Keynsham threw all they had at us, but the defence stood strong to get the back
       to back win.
