Management
Manager: Leigh Robinson
Leigh was appointed as First Team Manager at the beginning of January 2020, replacing Jody
Rivers, who had been Interim Manager following the resignation of Callum Brooks in December.
Leigh began his managerial career as Joint Manager of Wellington and then Bridgwater Town,
before being appointed as Manager at Taunton Town in August 2012. During his time with
Taunton, Leigh oversaw a successful six-year spell with The Peacocks, guiding them to The
Southern League Division One South & West Play-Offs for three successive seasons, before finally
winning The Championship in 2017-18, with over one hundred points, and just one league defeat.
He left Taunton in September 2018 to take over as Manager at then National League South Truro
City, where he improved results in his seven-month spell there, before leaving in March 2019,
with new owners taking over the club. Sponsored by Wat-er-Save
First Team Coach & Head of Development: Robbie Herrera
Robbie joined The Magpies with Leigh Robinson, having most recently been with Plymouth
Argyle’s Academy over the past two seasons. Robbie, who holds a UEFA A coaching licence, also
worked with Torquay United’s youth team, and then spent two years as The Gulls’ Assistant
Manager, before being appointed Professional Development Phase Lead Coach for seventeen to
twenty-one-year olds in Plymouth Argyle’s Academy. Robbie was an accomplished professional
footballer as a full-back, beginning his playing career as a youth player at Queens Park Rangers,
before joining Torquay United on loan, prior to being transferred to Fulham and then back to
Torquay United, and finally to Leyton Orient, making two hundred and seventy-six appearances
in all. Robbie then had spells with a number of non-league clubs including Merthyr Tydfil, Taunton

Goalkeeping Coach: Steve Dodge
Not surprisingly Steve was a goalkeeper in his playing days, and was a member of Eddie Belt‘s
outstanding
Magpies’ Youth Team in the 1980’s along with David West, and he also appeared in The Magpies’
Southern
League side. Steve also played for Weymouth, Swanage, Bashley, Christchurch, Hamworthy
United, Portland United and Weymouth Sports. As a Police Officer Steve also played for the Dorset
Police team for fifteen seasons, as well as their veterans’ side, and in recent seasons has served
as goalkeeping coach at Portland United before joining The Magpies. Born Weymouth. Age 53.

Connor has also been appointed to this role, having worked with Leigh at Taunton Town.
Karl Lindsay: Kit Manager
Karl Lindsay has just been appointed to the post, following the retirement of long-serving Derek
Taylor, having previously worked with Leigh at both Taunton Town and Truro City in the same

Goalkeepers
Nick Hutchings
Nick joined The Magpies in December 2018 on a non-contract basis. Nick was previously with
Poole Town, whom he had been with for eight years, and he had made over 330 appearances for
The Dolphins. He was a key member of the side who gained promotion from The Wessex League
to The National South, including winning The Southern League Premier Division Championship in
the 2015-16 season. Nick has also played for Hamworthy United and Wimborne Town. Also, on

Shane Murphy
Shane has returned to The Magpies for a second spell, having previously made his debut in April
2014, and has spent the past two years with AFC Totton. In his first spell with the club Shane
made 76 first team appearances. Shane has also previously appeared for AFC Bournemouth,
Hamworthy United and New Milton Town. Born Bournemouth. Age 26. Sponsored by Toni
