P. 3
Good afternoon and a very warm welcome to
the players, coaching team and supporters of
our visitors Cheddar for this Toolstation
Western League Division One game. Our
guests are also having a difficult season like us,
so today’s game is definitely the proverbial “six
pointer”.
Our committee would also like to welcome
today’s match officials, referee Mackenzie
Raymond and his 2 assistants, Theron Gordon
& Christos Kanatsoulis.
In my last programme notes, I stressed that nobody at the club is
under the illusion that we are not embroiled in a relegation battle.
Last Saturday’s disappointing performance against what I felt was an
average team in Cribbs Reserves leaves us with a big gap to overhaul
to reach lower mid-table. We do have games in hand on clubs around
us, but we now need to start turning those games into points,
especially with a nice run of home games up to Christmas.
Off the field, the committee are delighted to announce that Martin
Parfrey will step up as Acting Chairman whilst Phil Gane jets off to
Australia for the next 3 months. In my humble opinion, Martin has
been the club’s best signing for years, bringing his business and IT
experience to the table.
Don’t forget to keep up with all the Ks news via our social media
channels! In particular, details will be issued shortly for a bargain
season ticket deal for our remaining home Western League games.
As always, I thank you in anticipation of your support in the weeks
ahead!
Up the Ks!!
Jules French (Club Secretary)
