Wags

       We’re back…
After a strong start to our cup game & a 2-1 win with goals from 2/3 of our
husbands, the WAGs were delighted to offer their first MOTM medal following the
cup game against Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves. With a fantastic performance
from Jack Medj, the decision was a no brainer. To our sheer shock & horror, Jack
REFUSED his MOTM medal; still reeling from the earlier decision by management
to sub him off during the latter part of the second half; a decision the WAGs fiercely
fought against. Jack’s attitude towards this prestigious award was appalling,
showing us exactly why he is no longer captain material for the squad. We would
like to wish Jack a turbulent flight when he exits the club for Ireland later in the
       season.

Last week saw us resume our league matches against Chard away; an 80+ mile
round trip which once again demonstrates the WAGs loyal commitment to the
squad. With the rowdy home supporters resembling a pack of yappy Jack Russells,
the odds were stacked against us.
Chard’s MOTM would have undoubtedly been awarded to their linesman after
declaring a Mendip goal offside in the final 10 minutes. This was heavily disputed
by loyal Mendip fans. The match result was a 2-2 draw on paper after Mendip were
robbed of a win. However, the lads were the undisputed winners in our eyes. The
WAGs MOTM for the Chard game went to Connor Biggins!

Between poor decisions being made on the pitch, the raging OAP supporters and
a child asking us “how much was a penny worth in your day”, we’re definitely due
a trip to the hairdressers to sort out the grey hairs we’ve inherited after the Chard
game. Hopefully Ryan can put us in touch with whoever sorted him out with those
beautiful new sun-kissed highlights of his.
This week’s spotlight goes to Seb Williams - a true gent and asset to the squad who
had a cracking start to preseason. Whilst Seb’s performance has flattened in recent
weeks, we enjoy Seb’s positive attitude & the time
he dedicates to speaking to the WAGs off the pitch.
       We believe in you, Seb!

Wishing the lads the best of luck today in their cup
game against Wells City Reserves; may the best
       team win!

       Up the Mendip!
       Love Sam, Beau & Shannon
       X

                               Happy Birthday
