QWFC was formed in 1994 with just one boys under 14s team. It was started by

Dave Mulrain & Ron Capper who took on the roles of treasurer & secretary,
positions they held for 10 years. Dave has since returned to the club as Chairman
and is in his 3 season. They laid the foundations for the club to grow to the
                    rd
present day where we have over 400 members across 23 competitive team of all
ages including girls’ sides, 3 adult sides, walking football and veterans. Many hours
have been dedicated to the club by a number of volunteers to get to the point we
       are today.

                       st
Tony Farmer our 1 team manager returned to the club in the latter part of last
season after taking a short break from football. Tony is well respected throughout
the football community and is keen to promote youth players into the senior
section. The first team squad has a host of U21s with the majority having come
through the youth section. You will often see him on the tractor cutting the pitches.
Luke Stancombe our first team coach starts his first full season with the senior side
whilst also running a youth side. He has settled in well and is a very talented coach.

Our reserve team also achieved promotion last season into Stroud League Division
One under the leadership of Dave Webb and coach Liam Kay. Both Dave and Liam
work tirelessly not only to prepare for matches and training but also do a lot off the

       field around the club.

James Mulrain the only 1994 original member still to be involved coming into his
25 season at the club having started as a 13-year-old player. He starts his first
         th
                  rd
season as 3 team manager alongside Dale Jones as coach. James also helps
complete ground work ready for matchdays.

We have a brilliant bunch of lads both on and off the field and wish all 3 teams the

       best of luck this season.
